Welcome to Exploring Yorkshire! I’m a history teacher who always lived in Yorkshire, and have begun to make a real effort to explore my lovely surroundings and share my experiences.ย This blog will review all of the interesting places I go to, either for a day out or for a meal, and hopefully give you an idea of where to visitย in the area yourself.ย It will mainly be focused on Harrogate and York but I do venture further afield in Yorkshire and abroad occasionally. Yorkshire is beautiful and also huge, so there will be plenty of exploring to keep me busy!
Hi Jenny,
After all the times you’ve visited and likes my posts I can finally make sufficient use of yours.
Will be I York next week to take part in the Jorvik Viking Festival which means I get to do some sightseeing before the weekend.
Have found a few ideas so far from you.
Thanks.

Thanks for liking my recent post – I look forward to exploring your blog! Sadly I’m only in Yorkshire for another month before I finish uni, such a shame I didn’t discover your blog sooner!

Ah such a shame! You definitely should make the most of it while you can… Brimham Rocks are pretty cool if you can get up into the country around harrogate ๐

I’ll have to look them up – thanks for the recommendation! Once exams are over, it’ll be nice to explore the area a bit more before I go!

Hello again ๐ I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts (especially the llamas!) and have nominated you for a Liebster award – no pressure to accept it, but just wanted to let you know how much I admire your Yorkshire-based blog! https://lagrenouilleanglaise.wordpress.com/2016/07/06/liebster-award/

It’s always nice to discover blogs that feature the UK, as areas outside of London don’t make as much of an appearance in the blogosphere, and there is so much to see elsewhere! Look forward to reading your post ๐

Can’t believe I’ve only just come across your blog! We write about a lot of similar things, and it is really great to find someone as enthusiastic about York as I am ๐ looking forward to following it now!

What a lovely blog! My wife is a Leeds lass and we have been exploring Yorkshire for twenty years now โ yet there are places on your photo montage we have not yet visited. What an amazing county to be a History teacher in โ you have it all! Surrey is struggling in this department!

There’s still plenty on my list, but I’m so bad at writing about them when I do get round to it… summer holidays will see a splurge of posts to catch up!
